Animals are, and always have been, my greatest passion
Hello, I’m Katie
I’ve been drawing animals since I was little, and the dream of making a career from my artwork became reality a number of years ago as demand for my portraits grew.
I find inspiration at home in the Cotswold countryside, with its abundance of wildlife, and when I’m not at the easel I’m almost certainly riding my Andalusian or enjoying the company of my Belgian Hare, Willow, both of whom feature heavily in my collections.
My artwork aims to capture an animal’s true character and natural beauty. Working in chalk pastel and charcoal, I’d always rather catch the look in an eye than count every hair.
It is always a pleasure to meet animal lovers throughout the UK and across the world, and a privilege to draw so many wonderful companions.
‘Subtle Conversations’ · Behind the Method
A collaboration with Ben Atkinson
In 2026 Katie spent time with horseman Ben Atkinson and the horses at the heart of his work. The result is Behind the Method: a growing collection of original works celebrating the remarkable horses who have shaped Ben’s journey, and the bond between horse and human.
